ENGLAND'S NEMESIS LUIS SUAREZ FACES TWO-YEAR BAN AFTER BEING CHARGED BY FIFA WITH BITING AN ITALIAN DEFENDER

Chiellini then showed what appeared to be a bite mark (left). Just 14 months ago Suárez apologised for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in a Premier League match.

RIHANNA GETS INVOLVED IN SOME TWITTER COMMENTARY DURING THE ENGLAND VS URUGUAY GAME

Rihanna took to Twitter during the World Cup match between England and Uruguay and gave her two cents about the 90 minute performance.
It sounded like the Bajan singer was waving a St. George’s flag, as she first tweeted ‘ENGLAND whatchu gon do??!’, but then like the rest of the nation, she showed her frustration at the team’s lack of defence.

‘Man they know better than to give Suarez that much room bruh! (sic)’, Rihanna tweeted after the Liverpool FC player’s second goal.
She also commented on the South American team’s back four, impressed with their ability to stop England equalising: ‘Uruguay defense is almost disrespectful!!! 2 good’.

Certainly in a disappointing match like this one, Rihanna's views in the commentary box would have been welcome amusement for fans.
But if England fan Rihanna sees the team eliminated, it seems that she has another country to rally behind.
Or more specifically, another player as she recently tweeted a picture of her World Cup crush, Kevin Prince Boateng who plays for Ghana.

‘Da ba doe! I might have to be team Ghana on this one,' Rihanna tweeted with a picture of the Ghanaian player.
It seems that Rihanna is paying a lot of attention to this year’s FIFA World Cup, as she has been live tweeting during a number of matches.
During the Netherlands 3-2 defeat of Australia, the singer couldn’t contain herself during the ‘marvellous’ game, claiming ‘Holland is on one’.

Sadly she found it difficult to watch her ‘baby’ Ronaldo and his side Portugal lose to Germany because they are two of her favourite teams.

THE BIG MACH FOR TODAY FIFA WAORLD CUP 2014 BRAZIL vs CROATIA

Brazil-National-Team-for-2014-World-Cup
Brazil.
After four years of waiting since the last World Cup tournament in South Africa, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Finals are here. Whether you are a soccer fan or not, you can’t help to notice the excitement among soccer fans, fanatics or even the so called “hooligans”. It is the greatest sports event. It is Football [Americans are forcing us to call it Soccer-well it doesn't hurt-we know the difference]. The fact that it is hosted in Brazil-the country that has won five times and the land of Carnivals, explains it all why everyone is excited.

Before going futher, let me declare few things. I favor Brazil to win the 6th world cup championship. I didn’t start liking Brazilian soccer yesterday. I started long ago. Therefore, for me, it’s a long tradition of supporting Brazil. Being an African [and the fact that Tanzania-my home country didn't make it], I have to pick at least one African team. I have picked Ghana [Black Stars]. Now you know!

The hosts Brazil kicks off this year’s edition of the FIFA World Cup by playing against Croatia at the Arena de Sao Paolo. Even though Brazil are overwhelmingly favourites to win today’s match and to end up top of their group, no one can underestimate the talent among Croatians. With the immense pressure-to-win that Brazilians are experiencing, anything can happen.

For warm up games, Brazil comfortably won 4-0 against Panama before getting a narrow 1-0 in a hard-fought game against Serbia. The game against Serbia was probably a good reminder to Selecao that it can get tough and there is no room for mistakes or underestimating any opponent.

Croatia, meanwhile, being considered “underdogs” against a team such as Brazil, they would like to shock everyone with an upset. It can happen especially with sometimes careless Brazil defence. In their warm-up games Croatia won against Mali and Australia before a draw against Switzerland.

Let the games begin and let’s be reminded once again that We Are One [Ole Ola]. I am eagerly waiting for the opening performances.
